Market Outlook - 2017

This is the first time since 2009, that we are seeing sizeable negative absorptions across multiple submarkets.  To ascertain if this is a trend we would need supporing data from the next few quarters. Furthermore, with the scheduled new office space delivery of 2.28 million square feet this year; subleasing inventories rising to 2.4 million square feet; and continued consolidations across various business segments; it seems unlikely if the San Francisco Office Market can return to the large positive absorption it experienced in 2016.
